Meet Emma Lindow
Emma Lindow’s Goal:
My desire is to help my students find a love of music and to take joy in participating. I provide training in piano/flute performance, technique, theory, and musicianship. I aim to inspire my students to work hard and achieve their potential as a musician. I want them to learn good practicing skills, to play musically, to sight read well, and to learn to perform for and with others. I continually seek to achieve these things in myself.
What parents are saying:
“Emma is an accomplished and disciplined music teacher. Her lessons uplift students and help them learn to play with precision and dedication. She teaches proper instrument and musical techniques and she seeks to find the best outcome for each student. She is flexible with scheduling and is fabulous at communicating with parents about student and lesson updates. My children enjoy their time with her, and I appreciate being able to watch them progress.” – Alexis Sollami
What students are saying:
“My piano teacher is cool. She is very good at teaching me how to play the piano, and she is also super nice when explaining the notes and the best techniques on how I need to move my fingers.”
– Austin, age 5
Emma Lindow has a degree in Music Education from Utah State University. She has taught professionally for more than eight years. She has taught:
– Elementary music
– Flute lessons
– Piano lessons
– Children’s choir
As an elementary music teacher, Emma has taught thousands of students. Adapting to many different learning styles, she has worked with students with varied backgrounds. She is especially adept at teaching abstract music concepts to children of all levels of music abilities. No matter their level, she is good at meeting the needs of each individual learner.
Instruction is individualized to meet the needs and interests of each student, whether a flute or a piano student. Emma believes that everyone loves music and can be reached through music in their own unique way. She loves music and loves sharing that love with students. Music is a window to the soul. She also desires to teach students persistence and good work ethic through music. Participation in music can help a student develop academically in so many ways.
As a musician, Emma works to improve herself, and taking lessons from advanced teachers. This knowledge is then passed on to her students. She practices regularly and does not require of her students something that she doesn’t already do.
